President Barack Obama has called upon all Americans to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on this day with service. For Dr. King himself said it best;
"Life's most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?”
To that end, on January 21, 2013, the St. Louis Metropolitan Area Chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Veterans For Peace and "The Bridge" Program at Centenary Church will host a "Foundations of Money Management Seminar" for the public. The workshop is designed to:
- Empower aspiring homeowners with the knowledge and tools needed to capitalize on the current favorable housing market!
- Empower all attending to address credit and budgeting challenging that may impede the path to homeownership or financial viability.
Following the seminar, The main MLK, JR. Day of Service observance program will begin at 3:30 PM in the santuary of Centenary Church. We strongly encourage you to join us for both! Register for the main program @ http://akamlkjr.eventbrite.com.
We hope to see you there!
